Collections Policy

Consistent with our Mission, the Chevy Chase Historical Society collects and conserves printed books, manuscripts, maps, photographs, prints and other works of art, and ephemera that relate primarily to the land originally purchased and developed by the Chevy Chase Land Company.  For a full description of the geography of our collection area, see the CCHS Collections Policy, linked below.  As members of the American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) and the Alliance of American Museums (AAH), our collections policy follows the best practices and ethical standards developed by these organizations.
